There is a recent report saying that Barbados will receive a US$25 million loan from the Inter-American Development Bank for the purpose of rehabilitating sections of the ABC Highway and the Charles Duncan O’Neale Highway.
There is no denying that both of these highways are in far better condition than sections of several other highways across the island, and one would have thought that those in worse condition would have received some priority and consideration.
During future planning, can the authorities take into consideration the following?
1) Between Wellhouse and beyond Merricks, St Philip.
2) Between Windsor and Brighton,
St George.
3) From the Henry Forde Roundabout (top of Lodge Road) passing the Rising Sun reservoir, Christ Church.
4) Along Callenders Road, Christ Church.
5) From the Salters/Haggatt Hall junction to Buckley, St George.
6) Along Wilcox Road, Christ Church.
7) Along Sayes Court Road, Christ Church.
8) Between St David’s Anglican Church and Kent, Christ Church.
9) From Waterford to Whitepark Road, St Michael.
10) Between St Stephen’s Anglican Church and the Frank Worrell Roundabout, St Michael.
11) The road along Lears Plantation.
12) The road from the Lears/Canewood junction along Bibby’s Lane, St Michael.
An assessment of the above can assist in determining where some, if not all of the roadworks should be focused.
Also, can anyone say what is the status of Spring Vale, St Andrew?
