AUTHORITIES AT DODDS PRISON in St Philip are taking a tough stance against warders associating with former prisoners outside the walls of the penal facility.

Very reliable sources confirmed yesterday that earlier this week a female warder was suspended “until further notice” after she failed to comply with instructions to end a live-in relationship with a former inmate.

And according to that source, action is also pending against other officers who were identified as being engaged in similar practices, but who are currently away from duties for various reasons.

In the case of the officer who was handed a suspension this week, the source said: “She and the ex-prisoner live together and she had been warned repeatedly by management but nothing changed.” (RRM)
