THE CHRISTMAS rush wasn’t only in stores and in supermarkets.
It was on the roads of Barbados as well.
And with a number of fender benders and, according to Acting Assistant Superintendent David Welch, “quite a few accidents across the island” on Christmas Eve, one road safety expert has called on motorists to take their time, be careful and to leave at least half hour earlier.
Junior Jordan, who was speaking to the SATURDAY SUN, said he had observed that from the end of November and into December, there seemed to be “a rush from people” which intensified in the latter half of this month. (HLE)
