AFTER 15 YEARS at the Roman Catholic Cathedral Monsignor Vincent Harcourt Blackett has been transferred to the Our Lady Queen of The Universe Catholic Church, Black Rock, St Michael.

During the early hours of Christmas Day Monsignor Vincent, vicar general for the past four years, said at the church’s midnight Mass service that he would make his return “home” to the Black Rock Main Road place of worship.

“I’m going to miss St Patrick’s Cathedral,” he said from the pulpit as he announced that he will be officially transferred on January 5.

Reports are that Blackett would be replaced by Father Charles Dominique who has been the priest in charge at Black Rock for past few years. (TG)
