FRUSTRATED BARBADOS WATER Authority customers have taken their protest to another level.

Accompanied by Opposition Leader Mia Mottley, parliamentarians Trevor Prescod, Cynthia Forde, Edmund Hinkson and Barbados Labour Party candidate for St Peter Colin Jordan, they presented a letter to acting general manager of the Barbados Water Authority (BWA) John Mwansa in the lobby of the BWA’s Pine St Michael offices just before 11 a.m. this morning.

The six-page letter, which was also delivered to Minister of Agriculture Dr David Estwick and the permanent secretary in his ministry, is calling for a meeting with Estwick, BWA officials, residents and parliamentarians sometime this week.

It also outlines the concerns of those affected by the chronic water outages in the country areas and offers some short, medium and long-term solutions to the problem. (YB)
