WITH LESS THAN a week to go before Dr Sean Jackson, one of America’s and Barbados’ most highly trained organists and pianists, sits at an organ in a Brooklyn church, the adrenalin is flowing.
“I am looking forward to the service because I am convinced the Lord is directing me in this new phase of my life and career,” said Jackson, a professional with a deep religious faith.
“The past several months have been like a roller-coaster ride with its emotional ups and down. But I am up to the challenge because the hand of Jesus has led me to this place and this time, given what has happened in Connecticut.”
What happened was an embarrassing and a highly publicised incident in which the organist asked a young girl to remove her “undergarments,” not panties, during a private musical tutorial. (TB)
