Man accused in cocaine bust remanded

KELVIN RICARDO CALLENDER was remanded until March 15 when he appeared in District A Magistrates Court today charged with six drug offences.

The 45-year-old of Wildey Terrace, St Michael appeared before Magistrate Douglas Frederick in Criminal Court No. 1, charged with one count each of possession, possession with intent to supply and trafficking of cocaine and cannabis.

The street value of the 20.9 kilos is in excess of $1 million.

According to a police release, a search warrant was executed at Callender’s residence on Sunday. A police dog led officers under the cellar of the house where the cocaine was hidden.

The marijuana was reportedly found in his car. (BN)
