Dry pond a blow for farmer

If you did not believe the drought in Barbados was real before, believe it now.

Acting general manager of the Barbados Water Authority, Dr John Mwansa, announced that beginning last Tuesday restrictions would be placed on water usage across the island until May 31.

One group of people affected by those restrictions is farmers, and one such person is Jason Craigg, a small farmer of River Plantation, St Philip.

A SUNDAY SUN team visited his farm last week to find out just how the present drought has affected his livelihood and how he planned to cope with the new impositions.

Craigg, a farmer for the past five years, has had his ups and downs throughout his journey.
