DERICK “BOLT” ONEAL MORRIS’ brief dash for freedom earned him 28 days on remand at HMP Dodds.

Morris, of Block 11A, Factory Avenue, The Pine, St Michael snuck out of Criminal Court No. 1 yesterday and took flight in the direction of White Park Road, before he was captured and taken to Central Police Station.

A Prison Officer kept a tight grip on Morris when he reappeared in Criminal Court No. 2 today before Magistrate Kristie Cuffy.

Yesterday, he had pleaded not guilty to a theft charge in Criminal Court No. 1 and was told to wait, but walked out as other cases were being heard.

Morris is scheduled to reappear on April 5. (TKS)
