AT LEAST A DOZEN yachts will be on the line when the J/24 Open Regatta sails off today and tomorrow from the Barbados Yacht Club.

This is the fourth event in the 2016 Suzuki Caribbean Marine Barbados J/24 National Championship Series and it signals a return to the local keelboat racing season after the recently concluded GP-14 World Championships, which saw sailors from across the world competing for top honours.

This morning’s action will take place in the waters of the south coast just off the Boardwalk at Hastings and Sunday’s races will be held in the picturesque waters of Carlisle Bay. There are eight races scheduled for the regatta, with four planned for each day. (PR)
