THE DEATH OF A RELATIVE is a hard pill to swallow for anyone and for Crystal Phillips and her mother Jacqueline Forde, they had to swallow five bitter pills in a two-week span.

Phillips lost an aunt, cousin, grandmother, a family friends and her very close friend Carson Hunte who died yesterday after battling with smoke from a grass fire.

It is alleged that Hunte inhaled thick smoke and had to be lifted from his home after gasping for breath.

However, when the ambulance arrived, he was pronounced dead, sending the Jackson, St Michael area into shock. (MR)
