THE EARLY Christmas present given to residents of land-slippage prone White Hill, St Andrew, has now been taken away.

And that is because workmen from the Ministry of Transport and Works (MTW) turned up yesterday and erected three signal poles with cement and a sign which read, “Road closed. No through traffic”.

When a DAILY NATION team visited the area yesterday evening, residents were congregated at the village shop venting their frustrations in the wake of the road closure, and wondering what would be their next step as those who drove had parked their cars in the yard of the Rose of Sharon Tabernacle Assembly church.

Elvis Carrington said they were not notified before hand and only made the discovery on the way home. (RA)
