THERE’S A FRESH ATTRACTION around the Rockley area on the South Coast.

Following a $2.8 million upgrade, South Beach Hotel, a boutique property owned by the Ocean Hotels group, has just reopened and is already attracting international attention.

“We have invested significantly to enhance the experience of our guests and with the new designs we’ve brought something modern and fresh to the island. Guests are loving it,” said Patricia Dass, group general manager of Ocean Hotels.

“We welcome international visitors and Barbadians, and cater to business executives as well as families, couples or friends, or any guests looking for a comfortable base from which to explore the island.”

The upgraded property offers 49 suites with bright, modern décor that emphasise space and comfort. All suites are equipped with flat-screen televisions, designer bathrooms with large showers and modern kitchen facilities.

The hotel offers 22 junior suites, 24 one-bedroom suites, and three penthouse suites with expansive balconies.

Officials said South Beach rates included a full American breakfast and noted that guests could enjoy indoor air-conditioned or outdoor poolside dining at the Swagg Cocktail Lounge & Bistro, which is an attractive watering hole for locals and visitors.

The hotel offers a combination of retro, chic and new world charm overlooking the stunning Rockley Beach, one of the island’s finest windows to the sea. The hotel’s warm and friendly team members offer highly personalised service as well as a full range of concierge services.

South Beach’s 100-foot pool stretches the entire length of the property and is complemented by pool-side luxury – lots of cushioned loungers, a poolside drink service with cold towels and a cooling misting service when required.

Complimentary WiFi, a fitness room, onsite spa services and a meeting room are also available to guests. (PR/SC)
