YET AGAIN, SCORES of Barbadians were left frustrated yesterday as their efforts to update driver’s licences and pay land taxes hit a snag.

This time a damaged cable caused shutdown of the Barbados Revenue Authority (BRA) offices across the island, forcing a closure of business for the entire day.

When the SATURDAY SUN visited one of the crippled offices at Oistins, Christ Church, around 10 a.m., customers confronted with locked doors vented their frustrations at not being able to carry out their business.

“The system is down. I’m not waiting around. I’m going back to work,” one woman said.

While others shared similar sentiments, one man said he had been waiting so long that he decided to sit on the ground and pass the time. (AD)
