Two bites at City by night

FOR THE FOURTH straight year, Bridgetown By Night, a National Cultural Foundation (NCF) initiative, is aiming to satisfy the hearts of those yearning for a taste of Barbadian culture.

During a media launch for the event in Independence Square recently, the NCF’s manager of special projects, Alison Sealy-Smith, explained the walk was not merely about receiving information about history and heritage, but also a learning experience for Barbadians.

The tour is scheduled for Sunday, June 5, with two separate walks, beginning at 6 p.m and 7 p.m., respectively, starting at Cricket Legends on Fontabelle and ending in Independence Square.

“As proud Barbadians, we must also be open to learn by feeling and experiencing facets of our past that are central to our very identity of communal belonging,” she said.
