TORONTO – The Auturo Tappin Band brought the 2016 Barbados On The Water Festival to an explosive climax yesterday in Canada.

Before the grand finale however, the Harbourfront crowd was entertained by Caribbean Queen Alison Hinds on Saturday night as she commanded the concert stage.

She got the crowd moving with her hits like Roll it Gal and Faluma.

Topping off that performance was last night’s finale with the Auturo Tappin Band, who with their usual synergy, performed a wide range of Barbadian songs.

These included Nikita’s Tequila, Philip 7’s Beautiful Surprise and Kristen Walker’s new song Confused.

They were later joined on stage by some of the Barbadian entertainers who came to perform at the festival. In true Bajan fashion, they made the audience stand and dance until the last note rang through the chilled air of the Harbourfront.

The Barbados On The Water Festival featured food, music, fashion, literary events and children’s activities. It was held at the Harbourfront Centre in celebration of Barbados’ 50th anniversary of Independence. (SOM)
