ONE OF BARBADOS’ leading tourism administrators is calling it a day.

After 15 years as the chief executive officer of the Barbados Hotel & Tourism Association (BHTA), Sue Springer is quitting the position.

Chairman of the BHTA, Sunil Chatrani, announced yesterday that Springer will be demitting the post by year-end to pursue other career opportunities.

However, Chatrani explained that Springer will play a key role in the recruitment drive for her successor as well as with the orientation and handover process. He said a search committee has been established to fill the position during the coming months, allowing adequate time for a smooth transition before Springer leaves.
