IT WAS JUST last Monday that Paulette Stuart accompanied her son Azariah Lewis to an interview at the Barbados Vocational Training Board; he wanted to start the electrical installation programme in September.

Yesterday, Stuart was overcome with grief after 17-year-old Azariah collapsed and died on Sunday night at the Esso service station in Black Rock, St Michael, where he worked as a gas attendant. azariah-lewis-face

Stuart said the former Lodge School student was working to save money to buy equipment he would have needed to start out as an electrician.

From her Worthing View, Christ Church home she shared with Azariah’s father Oneal Lewis, her late son and his two younger sisters Azriel and Arielle, the distraught mother told the DAILY NATION: “He was a wonderful child. He never gave me no trouble, none at all. He was disciplined, he was never rude.” (LK)
