IT WAS BILLED Memories: The Story Unfolds, but patrons are hoping to forget the whole Sunday night affair.

The Hope For The Hopeless Foundation event unfolded into “civil war” when a fight broke out between two cartoon characters and later one character quit while on stage.

The late arrival of costumes, malfunctioning microphones and a lack of promised air-conditioning added to the misery patrons felt when they arrived for the 4 p.m. start. By the time the show was eventually cancelled, the patrons had swarmed the gate attendant demanding their money back and police had to bring order to the event.

Patrons took to social media yesterday, especially Facebook, to complain about the event and insisting on getting a refund from the charity following the fiasco at Kensington Oval bond. (KA/AC)
