AS A RESULT OF CONCERN OVER THE growing number of residents falling victim to non-communicable diseases, a national initiative is being expanded to include families.
Pharma Wellness International Inc. on Saturday launched its Family Wellness programme, an extension of its initiative targeting workplaces.
This would allow families, including children as young as ten years old, to better monitor their health by obtaining essential health status information and providing interventions where necessary, including healthy eating and exercise.
Chief executive officer Lennox Prescod, who is now partnering with the Christ Church Parish Church, said the aim was to bring more people on board beyond the 40 companies and 1 200 current members.
The programme has been endorsed by the trade union movement, the Social Partnership and the Ministry of Health and Ministry of Labour. (WILLCOMM)
