AN ATP title and revenge weren’t all Darian King got out of his victory over the weekend.

He soared to his first ever Challenger crown, and now the Bajan ace has taken a similarly huge leap up the ladder after vaulting all the way up the ATP rankings to world no. 197.

The move represents a jump of 58 spots from his previous ranking of no. 255, and comes as the direct result of King’s monumental title-winning performance at the ATP Challenger event in Cali, Colombia.

It’s the fourth time the 24-year-old pro has landed a spot inside the world’s top 200 players after reaching a career-best rank of 193 last summer following four championship wins and a historic place at the US Open qualifiers. (JM)
