CCTV installation at QEH this weekend

CLOSED CIRCUIT TELEVISION cameras will be installed in the Queen Elizabeth Hospital’s River Road car park over the weekend.

The installation will take place on Saturday and Sunday as an added safety measure for staff, visitors and patients.

As a result, there will be an interruption of the traffic flow in that area as workmen cut a trench in the roadway to link the cameras from the carpark back to the CCTV control room. Additionally, a man-lift will be in operation to install the cameras on the poles in the area.

During this time, the public may enter the compound via the entrance on Martindale’s Road.  Any inconvenience caused is regretted and the public is asked to seek alternative parking arrangements to avoid unnecessary delays or injury while walking through or parking in the River Road car park.

Management apologises for any inconvenience caused. (PR/NB)
