ONE OF BARBADOS’ most awaited murder trials is now set to start.
Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) Charles Leacock has revealed to the SUNDAY SUN that the four-year-old capital case against Sean Watson should finally get off the ground in September.
“We have committed that case for trial and I have instructed that case should be done in the September session as soon as we restart (the Continuous Assizes),” Leacock told the SUNDAY SUN.
That will be welcome news for the family of Watson’s estranged wife, Nicole Harrison-Watson, who was found dead at her home in Ferniehurst, St Michael, hours after attending an entertainment event with friends at the Garfield Sobers Sports Complex in 2012.
