TRAINER VICTOR CHEESEMAN is going for a hat-trick at the Massy United Insurance Barbados Derby next week Saturday.
“I trained very hard to get the hat-trick and I think I have a chance,” Cheeseman said yesterday at a press conference to announce the details of the race.
The champion trainer holds previous titles with Voldemort and Poetic License, both owned by Bills Inc. and ridden by Rickey Walcott in 2014 and 2015, respectively.
Cheeseman will be sending Poetry In Motion, which is also owned by Bills Inc., and Northern Star.
Though Cheeseman is hoping for the big win, he will have some competition in an attempt to cross the finishing line. Trainer Richard Deane said he was hoping for a good race with outsider Silver Bullet. (RG)
