ACTING COMMISSIONER of Police Tyrone Griffith has given his word that security will be the tightest in the history of Foreday Morning Jam.

With over 15 000 revellers and 57 bands expected to hit Bridgetown tomorrow morning for one of the biggest events of the Crop Over festival, Griffith told the WEEKEND NATION yesterday that police would be out in their numbers to ensure that both revellers and patrons were safe.

“All things are on go. Everything is finalised, everything is on target and everyone is ready to go,” the top cop said.

“Over 25 per cent of the Police Force will be present so persons can expect to see police out in their numbers. We will also be working closely with the Barbados Defence Force, so persons can expect to be safe,” he said. (RB)
