THIS YEAR’S BL&P Foreday Morning Jam was one of the more successful, said David “ZigE” Walcott.

The event’s producer said he measured this in terms of security and time on the road.

“There were a few technicalities in terms of some of the bands starting late but we managed to get all the bands down to Spring Garden within the time. The last band reached around 6:30 a.m., which was the allotted time,” he said.

As for security, Walcott said the press conferences held beforehand helped to add to the public’s trust of the event, adding he was particularly impressed with the Acting Commissioner of Police Tyrone Griffith.

“I witnessed the commissioner checking some haversacks himself. He was hands-on and I thought it was very commendable for the top cop to be out there doing what he said he would do,” Walcott said.
