Pine the champs

Don’t call Braddies Bar and Everyday Signs Pinelands just a thrown-together squad, as the girls became the Pine’s latest champs after beating Combined Schools Hoopsters 68-55 on Thursday to capture the No. 1 Beauty Supplies and Beauty Exchange Women’s basketball league crown.

It was a fairy tale ending to a story that almost never began, considering the team was only formed when reigning 12-time queens Station Hill Cavaliers shockingly disbanded mere hours before their season opener. (JM)
