BARBADOS’ YOUTH are taking a stand against cyber bullying.

As part of the now seven-year Flow IT for Teens summer programme, in conjunction with the Ministry of Community Development, the participants are mounting campaigns against the practice.

Web development tutor at the Deacons Resource Centre, Haydn Yearwood, said today’s youth tended to spend a lot of time online so an anti-cyber bullying campaign was vital.

“It’s been going pretty good so far; I have seen some interesting projects. I find they like to spend a lot of time on social media, so we want to make sure that time is put to good use. As such, we did posters against cyber bullying,” he said. (CA)
