MYSTERY SURROUNDS an apparent missing woman after her mother-in-law said she spotted her today.

Police issued an appeal for the public’s assistance in locating Patricia Susan Sondene Thomas, 42, of Pleasant Hall, St Mathias, Christ Church. It said she was last seen at 9 p.m. on Sunday with her husband Erwin Thomas of Princess Mary Lane, Pinelands, St Michael.

However, when a DAILY NATION team visited Pinelands, his mother Perrita Thomas told a puzzling story.

“She [Patricia] came by me last night [Tuesday] and say she ain’t want no police around her. They [Patricia and Erwin] left around 10 a.m. this morning,” she said.

The elderly woman said she had spoken to the police previously where she had been asked if Patricia had any bruises on her or looked funny in any way. She said she told them no.

Neighbours said they did not know the couple well and speculated on the circumstances surrounding her disappearance. (CA)
