BCU a ‘headless body’

THE Council of the Barbados Cycling Union (BCU) is a “headless body” that is no longer valid under its constitution with no right to continue to function.

That’s the view of attorney at law Larry Smith, who is representing people “interested in the affairs of the BCU”.

Cycling has been at a standstill since the planned annual general meeting on April 27 was adjourned and, according to Smith, no one has heard anything regarding the applications for membership of the BCU and nothing relating to the amendment to the constitution.

Smith told NATION SPORT that he understood a draft constitution was now being looked at but he does not understand why. (MK)
