SOME RURAL RESIDENTS say Dr David Estwick is a big let-down and the Minister of Agriculture and Water Resource Management needs to go.

The St Philip West MP bore the brunt of the anger of more than 150 residents from St Joseph and St Thomas who yesterday converged on the new $44 million headquarters of the Barbados Water Authority (BWA) in The Pine, St Michael, to protest prolonged poor service from the state entity.

Andrew Dixon, of Horse Hill, St Joseph, who organised the march, complained of several months of little or no water, failure of the BWA to refill temporary community water tanks in several districts, while still issuing high monthly bills. (MR)
