Elcock takes gold in Trinidad

RUSSELL ELCOCK is still dominating the time trial.

On Saturday, the Barbadian cyclist pedalled his way to a gold medal at the Trinidad and Tobago Cycling Federation Road Series.

The 22-year-old told NATIONSPORT he was pleased with his performance especially since it was his first year cycling in Trinidad for local based team Drive Phase Sport.

“I feel a sense of achievement because from the start of the year that was one of my main goals,” he said.

“This is my first year racing in Trinidad and my first year racing with a team down there, so that was one of the major goals the team had. (RG)
