LIAT CHIEF executive officer Julie Reifer-Jones is acknowledging the airline’s deficiencies in technology and communication.
However, in a Press conference yesterday at Hilton Barbados, the CEO also acknowledged that, if they were to properly service their destinations, they would needmore cooperation from the territories they serviced.
“We have been consumed with transitioning our fleet from the 18 Dash 8 aeroplanes to the nine ATR planes, which frames the challenge we have in servicing the network as it is no longer possible to maintain the number of flights we had in the past.
“[As such] we have been very slow is making the changes in technology that supports an operation like this. Our system is functional but old, so we are in the process of reviewing that system. . . (CA)
