Akeem Mason charged with Michael Mapp’s murder

AKEEM DAVE MASON has become the second man to be charged with the murder of 42-year-old Michael Mapp.

The 24-year-old of #2 Blades Hill, St Philip turned himself into police on Tuesday after being on the police wanted list for more than a month.

He is expected to appear in the District “C” Magistrates’ Court today.

Mapp, who lived in the same neighbourhood as the accused, was last seen alive on May 18, 2016. His body was found in a shallow grave in Bayfield, St Philip on May 24.

The other murder-accused, 30-year-old Akil William McCallister Grant, also from #2 Blades Hill, was remanded to prison when he appeared in court in August. (PR/NB)
