THE COMEBACK KING is on the move again.

Top-rated Bajan tennis pro Darian King has made the quarterfinals of yet another ATP Challenger event after rallying from a set down to beat long-time rival Marcelo Arevalo at the Stockton Challenger in California yesterday.

Playing on stadium court against the El Salvadorian, the 24-year-old King bounced back from an ordinary showing in the first set to win 2-6, 6-3, 6-3 in just over two hours.

The victory put King into his fourth Challenger quarterfinal for the season following title-winning performances in Colombia, New York and the neighbouring Tiburon just last week.

King, who just passed Martin Blackman for the highest ranked Barbadian at 135, is slated to play either American Michael Mmoh or Salvatore Caruso of Italy.

Mmoh is just days removed from losing the final at Tiburon to King. (JM)
