Yet another sporting body has equipment held up at a port of entry here.

Reports have surfaced that several cricket covers are currently stuck at the airport.

An inside source close to the situation confirmed the story, revealing the covers have been held up at the airport for at least four months as the Barbados Cricket Association (BCA) unsuccessfully applied for duty waivers to get the taxes cleared.

Apparently the covers don’t only belong to the BCA as a couple local clubs are also awaiting the shipment out of the airport. (JM)
