ST JOHN’S – The ratification of the appointments of the new Chief Executive Officer and Head Coach, the full review of the commercial strategy and the 2017 schedule are among the major topics up for discussion at the Board of Directors meeting of the West Indies Cricket Board.
The meeting, scheduled for today and tomorrow, will also continue discussions about the release fees for West Indies players who ply their trade in Twenty20 leagues across the world.
Full reports from all committees will be tabled.
The assessment of the Men’s, A and Women’s teams’ performances over the last three months will also be on the agenda as well as looking ahead to the third year of the 4-Day Professional Cricket League and the 2017 edition of the Super50.
President Dave Cameron is pleased that “our Women’s team has qualified for the ICC Women’s World Cup scheduled for June to July 2017. We also welcome the 20 players who are starting camp for the Under 19 squad this weekend in Grenada as they prepare to defend the championship in 2018”.
The two-day meeting which is the final for this year will be held in the Leeward Island of St Maarten. (PR/SAT)
