My Man Gone West has hardly put a foot wrong in recent outings, but had no answer to Donicodidit at the Garrison Savannah.
Donicodidit, winner of last year’s Midsummer Creole Classic, was in third place for most of the day’s feature race, and eventually came through to win the Seasons Greetings Handicap by a length and a half.
