CHILDREN ARE IN need of both physical gifts and also intangible gifts such as love and affection.
And board member of the charity Robinson Smiles and Hope Foundation, Anthony Layne, said that his charity’s interactions with St Michael primary schools has discovered that both requirements are equally needed.
“We find that there are a lot of kids who need joy at Christmas time and not just the toys. As we went to different schools around St Michael, the teachers always tell you they have a lot of kids in need, so yes there is a great need for this type of activity,” he said yesterday.
Layne, who is also the Kontact Kadooment Band leader, was speaking to the SUNDAY SUN at Brigade House, the Garrison, where their annual Christmas party was held. (TG)
