Man shot after challenging burglar

A ST GEORGE man is nursing gunshot injuries after challenging a man whom he found in his home.

The incident occurred at the Ellerton residence of 31-year-old Duane Andre Barrow around 2:50 this morning.

Barrow, a proprietor of a small business in the area, received injuries to both his thighs. He was taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital by ambulance.

The incident is being treated as a case of aggravated burglary.
