BIRTHDAY GIRL Hermione Parris has 100 reasons to be thankful.
The Pool Land, St John resident ushered in her 100th birthday today surrounded by members of her family and Governor General of Barbados Sir Elliott Belgrave.
Despite being diagnosed with cataracts, the mother of seven said she is still able to read without glasses.
Her grandchildren said all her faculties were intact and she kept the family together. (TG)
