MARIA SUKHDEO is the inaugural 13-Hand Tonk winner in the second Slam-A-Dom’s Christmas Dominoes In The City Extravaganza while Harvey Jones and Wendy Sealy are champions of the Four-Hand Domino Pull-A-Rama.
The four-day event, contested under a massive tent in Ricketts Street, Bridgetown, climaxed late Tuesday night, but both finals were scaled down due to time constraints.
Sukhdeo outplayed fellow finalists Carl Seifert and Jones in the final after the players agreed to evenly divide the combined prize money of $1000 for the first three positions.
Instead of going the full distance to eight games, the Guyanese-born Sukhdeo was the first to win three games, with Seifert getting two chalks while Jones was scoreless. (EZS)
