A MIDDLE-AGED man who tragically lost his life on Thursday night was an outspoken and no-nonsense kind of guy.

Those were the words used to describe 59-year-old Vincent Leroy Alleyne popularly known as “Lad”, who died after being struck by a car driven by 30-year-old Tyson Babb of Downes Gap, Arthur Seat, St Thomas. The tragedy happened just a stone’s throw away from Alleyne’s home around 8 p.m.

The former resident of 3rd Avenue Harts Gap, Christ Church, hours later at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital succumbed to his injuries suffered after disembarking from a Transport Board bus.

When the SATURDAY SUN arrived at Alleyne’s former residence yesterday, two plainclothes police officers were seen with two women, said to be Allyene’s sisters Beverley and Judy, at the deceased’s home. (RB)
