Brooks replaces Alleyne in Pride squad

BRIDGETOWN – The West Indies Cricket Board has approved Shamarh Brooks as a replacement player for Anthony Alleyne in the Barbados Pride squad for the remainder of the Regional Super50 Tournament.

Alleyne is unable to take any further part in the tournament, due to medical reasons.

He played five matches and scored 100 runs, with a top score of 39.

Brooks, 28, has played 22 List A matches and scored 394 runs at an average of 24.62 with two half centuries.

Barbados Pride will play CCC Marooners at 1:30 p.m. at Kensington Oval in the final Group B match.

ICC Americas are currently up against Jamaica Scorpions at Windward. 

Tomorrow, Group A will conclude with the final two matches. Kent Spitfire will play West Indies Under-19s and Leeward Islands Hurricanes will be up against Trinidad and Tobago Red Force.  (PR/SAT)
