KEITH YEARWOOD isn’t coming back for another ride.
Nineteen years at the helm apparently are enough for the embattled Barbados Cycling Union (BCU) boss, who confirmed that he won’t be contesting Wednesday’s long-awaited general elections.
Yearwood broke the news in an exclusive release sent to the SATURDAY SUN as his first public comments following the very contentious court battles with “people interested in the affairs of cycling”.
“I’m very, very happy with the decision I have taken and I am at peace because I’m satisfied with the progress and strides the BCU has made over the years. I’ve served with distinction, so there’s nothing to be sad about,” Yearwood said in a subsequent telephone interview.
