Institute of Chartered Accountants of Barbados (ICAB) executive director Reginald Farley said he was left longing for details after listening to Sinckler’s press conference on the economy yesterday.

Farley, a former Barbados Labour Party Government minister, told the DAILY NATION that while Sinckler ruled out devaluation of the Barbados dollar and said the Freundel Stuart administration would not be seeking the International Monetary Fund’s (IMF) help, he did not give much information on alternatives.

While he conceded that the minister was probably saving his “fire” for the upcoming Estimates Debate, the ICAB head said Barbadians and investors needed more information. (SC)
