SHOULD THERE EVER be a time when the island has to go to the International Monetary Fund (IMF), the people of Barbados will be kept in the loop, Prime Minister Freundel Stuart promised yesterday.
But, he told the House of Assembly, that time was not yet nigh.
He was speaking during Day 3 of the Appropriations Bill 2017 (Estimates of Revenue and Expenditure) yesterday afternoon.
“I have heard all of the talk in Barbados. I heard the Member of Parliament for St Peter yesterday say we should go to the IMF,” he told the chamber. (HLE)
