Fire destroys Checker Hall home

A COUPLE IS homeless after fire claimed their Ellis Road, Checker Hall, St Lucy home yesterday.

Police say the blaze broke out around 5:30 p.m. and destroyed a two-bedroom wooden house owned by Dianna and Earl Boyce.

Dianna received minor burns to her face and was taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital by ambulance.

Police are investigating. (PR/NB)
