UPDATE: Holmes killed in early morning shooting

A ST MICHAEL MAN is dead following an early morning shooting at Chase Road, Halls Road, St Michael.

Police say Craig Bernard Holmes, 43, was shot around 4:40 a.m. while standing outside of his residence in conversation with a man.

Another man walked from a nearby track, approached Holmes and shot him multiple times about the body before fleeing the scene.

Holmes was rushed to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital by private vehicle for medical treatment, but subsequently succumbed to his injuries.

As investigations continue, police are appealing for assistance. The numbers are CID Central at 4307175, Police Emergency 211, Crime Stoppers at 1-800-TIPS (8477) or the nearest police station.
