WHILE SOME JUNIOR KADOOMENT BANDS have also been hard hit by the tough economic situation, parents are still making an effort to ensure the little ones hit the road.
When the WEEKEND NATION visited Fifth Element band house at Lawrence T Gay and Island Spice at Tyrol Cot Heritage Village, the respective band leaders Kevin Small and Wayne Smith were hard at work putting their costumes together.
Both men said that despite the economic climate, their numbers had increased.
“It is a challenge for some parents because you have a situation where a household may have more than one child so you have to try to keep your prices at a range that if there are several children that they can come out and have fund,” Smith said. (TG)
